The first cathouse in Agios Ioannis we made out of an old bed which was dumped somewhere. There is not much space behind the bins but we could put it into the bamboo to give these cats a bit shelter.
The problem is that people throw their garbage often behind the bins – so we often had to clean there to be able to reach the cats – here for example full of broken glass
The other problem is chickens. They always come to take the cat food and – believe or not – the cats are afraid!
So we got the following solution:
Now the whole colony is neutered and we are constantly improving the shelter!
